Newly Redesigned Buildwithpropane.com is One-Stop Shop for All Things Propane
Propane solutions, training and retailers all available at the click of a mouse.LAS VEGAS (January 21, 2010, Booth N2819)The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) has revamped the buildwithpropane.com website to make it easier for architects and construction professionals to find all the information they need about propane solutions, propane training, and propane retailers in their area.
More construction professionals are turning to clean, efficient propane to meet their clients' energy needs, and they rely on buildwithpropane.com to deepen their understanding of propane.
"We wanted to design a site that was easy for builders to navigate, was solutions-oriented, and helped answer a wide array of questions about energy performance, tank installation, and other topics. It is also a one-stop shop where they can learn about the latest federal and local rebates and incentives for using propane," said Tracy Burleson, director of residential programs for PERC. "Builders now also have a direct conduit to propane retailers in their area."
Building professionals will find many features on the site: installation tips; webinars; a free 28-page downloadable Propane Planner with information about tank installation, appliance selection, and more; and green building guidelines to help builders and remodelers using propane earn points toward the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) National Green Building Standard and get Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) certification. The site also provides access to several free online courses approved by the NAHB and the American Institute of Architects.
"The online courses are easy to access and provide construction professionals with a wide range of sessions to meet continuing education requirements," said Burleson. "The topics describe how to incorporate propane and related equipment into design, building and installation practices, as well as how to explain propane's advantages to homeowners, homebuyers, and remodelers."
Later this month, the site will upload an interactive U.S. map to complement the recent comparative heating analysis describing the success of propane heating in many regions across the country. Later this year, the site will upgrade the current Products and Appliance Showcase to include a searchable directory of propane-enabled products available in the market, and will feature videos on water heater replacement and outdoor fireplace installations.
"We are wholeheartedly committed to helping builders navigate the channels and incorporate propane into their projects because we know the value that will be passed along to the homeowners," added Burleson.
